The casino was built with co-op in mind

From the start, the S&Lumberjack casino was designed to work with multiple players. When someone pulls the lever, everyone in the session should hear the spin sound, see the result on screen and understand whether their partner won or lost. A solo slot machine is one thing, but the true co-op moment happens when several players stand together and everyone sees the same thing.

The casino has already gone through several iterations: a bet ladder from small to large, a reworked payout table, a readable screen, synchronised spin and result sounds. On paper, all of this was designed for co-op play.

What the live co-op test showed

The real test is always a live session. During a three-player check we found that casino sounds and animations weren't reaching client players. The host saw the full picture โ€” spinning reels, result, sound. Other players received nothing. For them the machine was silent: someone placed a bet, something happened, but without sound or visual feedback.

This situation breaks the co-op moment. The player at the machine got excited, and their partner doesn't even know what happened.

We found where the chain breaks

After the test, we added specific markers right at the points where the casino sends a signal to all players: spin start, win result, loss result. In the next co-op session, the log will immediately show whether the signal reaches every client or breaks somewhere along the way.

At the same time, a related bug was fixed: the machine's interface sometimes couldn't find the right component on client machines. This was a connected problem โ€” the screen could remain stale for non-host players even when the signal theoretically arrived.

Next step โ€” confirm in a live test

Diagnostics are ready. The next co-op session will show whether the signal reaches all players or needs another pass. The task is simple: stand at the machine, spin, and check โ€” does everyone hear the sound and see the result at the same time?

This is a small but important step toward making the co-op casino feel like any other station: predictable and consistent for everyone in the session.
